Gallery: Sussex Trophy at Revival 2022
The Goodwood Motor Circuit and sportscar racing go hand in hand. When the venue was open in period, Goodwood hosted rounds of international sportscar championships. Now in the venue’s longer run of Revival events, sportscar fixtures like the Sussex Trophy have provided some of the greatest spectacles and undoubtedly among the best-looking grids of racing machines. Who could resist a field packed with 1955 to 1961 world championship sports racers?
That was certainly the case for the 2022 edition, where the 25-minute race took place on the the Sunday afternoon. It’s difficult to pick a favourite from a pack that includes several Lister Knobblys, a Maserati Birdcage, a brace of Jaguar D-Types, a Cooper Monaco and no fewer than seven Lotus 15s.
