And as we approach the annual antique extravaganza, the circuit is buzzing with drivers and riders undertaking last-minute testing, ensuring their machines are perfectly tuned and ready to take on the competition in one of our many period races.
This year, the Revival will kick off early next Friday, September 13th, a day which, while unlucky for some, will no doubt prove fortuitous for the eventual victors of the evening’s Kinrara Trophy presented by Hackett – the event’s opening race.
Further track action across the weekend will include the Earl of March Trophy, for 500cc Formula 3 cars, and the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy, the Revival’s only motorcycle race, for bikes that raced between 1960 and 1966. In total, 16 races and numerous other Parades and Demonstrations will keep all eyes glued on track throughout the weekend.
Alongside the on-track action, there will be copious static arrangements of automobiles and aeroplanes, with a number of the latter also taking to the sky to perform impressive aerial displays.
And of course, for those for whom racing isn’t everything, there will be a wonderful spread of period entertainment including the ‘Over the Road’ area, featuring music, dancing, food and festivities!
