Video: The best runs of 2023 Festival of Speed | Day 1
Good job we didn’t blink, or else we’d have missed it: Thursday of the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is over and it was quite the day of action on and off the Hill. As is customary, we thought we’d count down the best moments from day one.
Our first big moment listed here gives us a bit of De Ja Vu. It’s Adam Smalley in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. The only tells that it is in fact not 2022, are the spectacular harlequin-esque livery and the fact he isn’t airborne. He’s still flat-out, just kicking up dust rather than catching some sky.
From there we have Elfyn Evans making an absolute smoke show in the Rally1 Yaris, Karun Chandhok experiencing the Le Mans-winning Mazda 787B and Mad Mike making his FOS return. We just love to see it. What we love even more, is we’re going to do it all over again and then some on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
