Video: The best runs from Friday at the 2024 Festival of Speed

From the Cartier Lawn to to the action on the Hill, the 2024 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard really is all about variety. We say that almost annually but this year really rams home the point, that the other times, we might just have been crying wolf. Our selection of the best Hill runs of Friday, clarifies further.

As our opener, we have the screaming V12-engined Pagani Huayra R. After that, it’s as if whoever is deciding the order of these clips is playing a prank on us. Because car number two is… the Steam Wagonette, taking what we can only assume was a solid five minutes to ascend the Hill . That’s then followed by… Logan Sargent in a 1980s Williams F1 car.

From there on things get a little less erratic in terms of theme, with the warbling Audi Quattro, followed by Michael Lyons absolutely sending a Formula 5000 car up the Hill.

Then we have a couple of spectacular Hill debuts, with Ford’s new Coyote-powered Dakar Raptor, followed by Fernando Alonso the Aston Martin Valiant a both-barrels thrash. Discover all that and more in our roundup of the best runs of Friday at the 2024 Festival of Speed.
