The 2022 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard weekend was jam-packed full of new cars, with everything from 2,000PS hypercars to three-wheeled EVs running up the Goodwood Hill. There was one vehicle, however, that ran in camouflage, making its world debut in prototype form: the Polestar 5 saloon.

The Polestar 5 will join the company’s line-up in 2024, sitting in the range alongside the Polestar 2, the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, both of which will be launched before the 5. What do we know so far about the latest Swedish EV? That it has four doors, is based on the Precept concept, is powered by two motors and has 884PS (650kW) and 900Nm (666lb ft) of torque. Fingers crossed we’ll see it without its funky camo very soon.
