For all the pain and frustration of yesterday, we are so happy to back at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. The sun is shining for now, and the excitement is ramping up ahead of what is sure to be a memorable day.
While we are of course looking forward to the climax of the Timed Shootout this afternoon, there is plenty else to catch your eye around the paddocks at the Festival of Speed. Le Mans winners aplenty, including the Ferrari 499P, while the Cartier Style et Luxe, which includes a selection of racing cars repurposed for the road, looks pristine in the early morning sunshine.
The day is set to be headlined by four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel, who will be in action on the Hill in two very special cars, the FW14B and the McLaren MP4/8, which are sure to stir memories of Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna. Vettel will also be taking part in a balcony moment in the afternoon.
Don’t miss the opportunity to revel in the beauty of the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer DLS Turbo Project perched quietly on its stand, or indeed the remarkable sight of the Supercar Paddock, the contents of which will also be active on the Hill throughout the day.
It’s not all about road cars, either, with plenty more get your teeth into around the off-road arena and of course the Forest Rally Stage, which will be packed with legends from the WRC. It’s going to be a busy one!
