The Porsche 911 Speedster concept was the car in which the Duke of Richmond opened the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.

The 911 Speedster is at FOS as part of our 70th anniversary celebration of the marque, and harks back to the style of the original 356 Speedster. It's distinguished from other 991 generation 911s by its low roofline, twin humps and simple canopy tonneau. Equipment like satnav and air conditioning have been thrown out to save weight, while the engine and gearbox are borrowed from the GT3 – so it's a naturally-aspirated 4.0-litre flat six with a six-speed manual gearbox. Production isn't confirmed, but it's likely that a limited run of cars will be built.
