The rays from the low morning sun glint off the cars that remain in position on the Cartier Style et Luxe lawn for Sunday of the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. The skies are blue and the air has a welcome chill after the heat (and occasional rain) of yesterday.
It’s quiet at this time of the morning, and even the paddocks are silent as cars spanning more than 130 years are at rest ahead of the noise and speed to come. This is the final day of this year’s Festival of Speed, and after three days of action to date we’re ready for more.
And no matter which is your favourite form of motorsport, there will be something to entertain you. Edwardian speed record machines? We’ve got them. Pre-war Grand Prix Cars? Tick. 1960s GT racers. Yes, they’re here too. Modern Formula One cars? Check. Drifters. Yep! The newest road car offerings? Check. And a whole lot more besides.
Here’s our photographic round-up of the early morning at the final day of the 2024 Festival of Speed.
