Video: Genesis Magma Concepts debuts at the 2024 Festival of Speed

The concepts very much set a performance precedent, with the GV60 featuring enhanced bodywork including a redesigned front grille, wings, and a new rear bumper. It’s wider and lower, sitting on 21-inch wheels with a stockier stance. It’ll be driven up the Hill by none other than six-time Le Mans winner and Genesis brand partner Jacky Ickx.

Alongside it, the GV80 EV Magma Concept, the second electric car in the Magma range, brings substantial power gains supplemented by new suspension and bigger brakes. Meanwhile, the G70 Nürburgring Taxi, with its fettled 3.3-litre turbocharged V6, has already been put to use around the ‘Ring and will be making its own dynamic debut at the Festival of Speed.

Arriving with the fanfare of multiple exploratory concepts resplendent in that Magma orange hue, the Magma performance brand is one Genesis has huge plans for.

It’ll be exciting to see this emphasis from Genesis on performance and enthusiast products take full flight at the Festival of Speed over the course of the weekend. One thing is for sure: in the Magma orange, you’ll be able to tell these go-faster Genesis from a mile off.
