You might not have realised it, but Porsches have been visiting Goodwood since the 1950s. Stirling Moss drove a Porsche 718 F2 car here in 1960, Gerhard Koch piloted a Porsche 356B Carrera in the 1960 Tourist Trophy, and Hans Herrmann, Chris Bristow, Jo Bonnier, Wolfgang von Trips, Jean Behra and Edgar Barth all wielded the Porsche 718 RSK round the fast, flowing Motor Circuit, too.
It’s fitting, then, that since the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard began in 1993 and the first Goodwood Revival in 1998, Porsche’s have flooded through the gates to both the House and the Circuit to all of Goodwood’s motorsport events.
What we have here, then, is a collection of images of various Porsches at the Festival of Speed, the Revival and the Members’ Meeting. There are 356s, 911s, 904s, 956s, 917s, the 919 Hybrid Evo and so many more.
Photography by Drew Gibson, Jayson Fong, Adam Beresford, Karen Bornhoft, Jochen Van Cauwenberge, Toby Adamson, Steven Stringer, Nick Dungan, Jordan Butters and Dominic James.
