Gallery: Incredible drifters smoking out FOS
After a few years of wowing the crowds at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard it may seem like a bit of a cliché to say that one of the absolute highlights on the Hill in 2017 was the drifters. They’re obviously the most aggressive drivers of the weekend, throwing their cars this way and that but – it has to be said – this year they took it to a whole new level.
The weekend brought the best out of them. The showmanship, the collaborative spirit and the sense of fun in each of them goes way beyond what we’ve seen before. Tandem donuts, insanely close hay bale drift-taps and a few dings were demonstrative of their commitment. Baggsy debuting his all-new LSX twin-turbo GT-R and Chris Forberg (current Formula D champ) making his first FOS appearance raised the bar before a wheel had even turned.
