Gallery: Getting the #FOS party started with tyresmoke and fireworks

On Wednesday night, before the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard opened its gates, there was a party to get things started. GRRC members, who'd been having dinner in Goodwood House, were drawn outside by the sound of a quartet of revving drift cars.

The sight of 'Mad' Mike Whiddett, Steve 'Baggsy' Biagioni et al drifting and donutting through the darkness will live in the memory for a long tome. It was followed by Lord March's opening speech, and then a spectacular display of fireworks over Goodwood House and the central feature. Which was louder, the drifters or fireworks? It was too close to call...
