Today, a full hillclimb schedule has showcased the very best of the Festival of Speed. Running non-stop for almost 11 hours, the historic 1.16-mile stretch of tarmac has welcomed everything from pre-war warriors to the most cutting-edge of hypercars. Thrown into the mix were classic motorcycles – including celebrations of both 110 years of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course, and 50 years of Suzuki in Grand Prix racing – iconic sports racers – a whole selection of Roger Penske’s IndyCars – and some incredible Grand Prix greats.

Adjacent to the track, this year Lotus has moved the Central Feature into the digital age, with a sculpture that requires an app to see it at its best… Underneath, visitors have paid homage to the manufacturer with a Lotus Moment, which will continue to be held every day at around 13:00. 

Elsewhere at the Festival, the Forest Rally Stage has been abuzz with some of the fastest and most fearless rally drivers, behind the wheels of equally impressive cars, while the Off-Road Arena has seen some impressive air from long-suspension buggies. Roll on Saturday…
