For their 40 years throwing punches on the most revered grids in motorsport, Williams could be described as motorsport’s hardest hitting, most resilient upstart. From day one they were battling with the best of them, employing the finest engineers, the best drivers and often fielding the best cars.
Their 40-year tenure is a credit to what determination, discipline and an unrelenting desire to win can achieve. It’s something we had to celebrate at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, so take a look through this gallery, to see FW06, FW08B and the legendary FW14B at Goodwood to remind us all of where Williams came from and what it grew to be. The Williams moment too saw drivers, engineers and Williams family members gather with an assemblage of some of their finest racing machinery for a moment of reflection and celebration.
