From Alfa to Zonda: The wondrous variety of Cartier at the 2024 Festival of Speed

On the one hand, we have a class dedicated to the Pagani Zonda, celebrating 25 years of the ultimate 2000s boutique supercar. There’s also a class dedicated to the immortal Bugatti Type 57, as well as a selection of pre-war Rolls-Royces in celebration of the marque’s 120th birthday. And, a class celebrating Gandini’s immortal work at Lamborghini, spanning three decades from the Miura to the Diablo.

Gandini, dearly departed, is indeed the throughline to the other side of the Cartier Lawn. Because on the other hand, we have a class dedicated to his cars outside of Lamborghini, which yes, includes the Maserati Khamsin but also, the Mk1 Volkswagen Polo and Citroen BX. Plus, a class dedicated to beach cars and believe it or not, tractors. Yes, tractors.

Yet all the classes, whether entirely artful and appropriate or entirely incongruous for a concours, look incredible, distributed across the Cartier Lawn, captivating the attention of all who wander through. From dream cars to agricultural tools, all (bar competition cars – you can see them on the Hill) are welcome here.
