Friday morning at the 2024 Festival of Speed

That means foggy windows and dewey panel work on the Cartier Lawn. That means plumes of steam rising out of the paddocks as racing cars go through all their pre-flight checks. That means there’s an ominous silky sheen of damp glazed across the Hillclimb. Molecomb beckons the brave and foolish, into thinking they can brake after they’ve crested the hump…

But spirits are high for what will, rain or shine, be the first full day of running on the Hill in 2024. The full force of our packed entry list will deploy for the crowds today, from 130 years of Mercedes in motorsport, to our class of Joest racing legends, to the full F1 batch – including a sprinkling of screaming V10s. We’re so ready.
