Wild new Ford SuperVan 4 to be revealed at FOS

Sometimes a tease is a giveaway and sometimes a tease really is a tease. This little 22-second clip from Ford is the latter. Something fast and electric is coming to the 2022 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.

Updated: Electric Ford SuperVan to debut at Festival of Speed

Updated 09:30 Tuesday 21^st June 2022. Well now, this is exciting, isn’t it? After two teasers Ford has announced an all new SuperVan will be coming to the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. The Ford Pro Electric SuperVan is inspired by the new E-Transit Custom, and will be unveiled in full on Thursday 23^rd June at the Festival. Also on show from Ford will be the new Ranger Raptor and the ‘Very Gay Raptor’, a rainbow-coloured Raptor that will support a live session of Ford’s ‘Tough Talks’ series. Hosted by Gareth Thomas, the discussion will cover how the “automotive industry can foster a culture of inclusion and allyship with the LGBTQ+ community”.

What do we see? Well, two seconds in there’s something with a high nose, some sharp lighting and low skirts in the background. There are lots of shots of racing lids – complete with a Festival sticker and the dates of the event – and indeed a nice long shot of the lightbar that spans the width of whatever this vehicle is will feature.

Now look at this! Ford has released a second teaser, this time reeling off a list of four dates: 1971, 1984, 1994 and 2022. Cryptic indeed.
