Reigning MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia will be among a list of ten current riders to take to the Hill at the 2023 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.
Updated: Wednesday 28th June at 09:00. We had already confirmed that world champion team Ducati would be at the Festival, as well as GasGas Tech3, LCR and KTM. We can now confirm that they will be joined by Aprilia Racing and RNF in showcasing their latest bikes at Goodwood.
And the number of riders who will be onboard MotoGP bikes at Goodwood has hit double figures, with Bagnia set to be joined by his Ducati team-mate Enea Bastianini and test rider Michele Pirro.
Pol Espagaro and Augusto Fernandez will ride for GASGAS, while Brad Binder and Mika Kallio climb aboard the latest Red Bull KTM. Lorenzo Savadori will ride for Aprilia and Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliviera for RNF.
Bikes have always been a key part of the Festival of Speed – with Valentino Rossi’s famous appearance in 2015 perhaps one of the most iconic moments in Goodwood history – and 2023 will be no exception.
Last year’s Festival saw the incredible return to two wheels by Wayne Rainey, as he rode his 1992 championship-winning Yamaha YZR500 for the first time since his career ending accident in 1993. Giocomo Agostini, one of the greatest riders of all time, also joined us to celebrate his 80th birthday.
This year the Festival of Speed will have a staggering total of 32 motorbike World Championships on show between Àlex Crivillé, Casey Stoner, Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, Kenny Roberts Jr., Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan and Wayne Gardner.
