The Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard will bring together its biggest ever celebration of Formula 1 in 2025, which will be at the core of the event’s theme ‘The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers.’
Next year will see the motorsport world signify the 75th anniversary of the F1 world championship, and those impending celebrations have inspired the Festival of Speed theme in 2025. It will encapsulate F1’s relentless pursuit of excellence as teams and drivers have striven to find ‘The Winning Formula’.
But the quest for perfection is not limited to the world of F1, the wider universe of motorsport is defined by its champions, and the Festival of Speed is the greatest place in the world to experience a broad range of racing legends.
Champions from the WRC, World Endurance Championship, Formula E, IndyCar, NASCAR, MotoGP and World Superbikes will be represented around the Goodwood Estate, with a wide array of machinery responsible for game-changing advances in speed, technology and design.
The search for ‘The Winning Formula’ will be central to each and every element of the Festival of Speed in 2025.
Under the spotlight will be 125 years of motorsport competition, which began with the likes of the Gordon Bennett Cup and the Thousand Mile Trial at the beginning of the 20th century. The Festival of Speed will also commemorate the 100th anniversary of Alfa Romeo’s victory in the inaugural World Manufacturers’ Championship with the pioneering P2.
The Duke of Richmond, founder of the Festival of Speed, said: “The Festival of Speed is uniquely placed to reflect on motorsport’s rich history and heritage and I am delighted that in 2025 we will do this through the lens of ‘The Winning Formula’.
Individuals, teams, vehicles and championships have always embodied this mindset to push the boundaries of achievement, never more so than in Formula 1, which next year celebrates the 75th anniversary of its World Championship."
"Having recently celebrated 75 years of motorsport at Goodwood, we know what a significant anniversary this is for Formula 1, and we’re looking forward to paying our own tribute as part of the worldwide festivities.”
The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed is set to bring together a more impressive collection of racing cars than ever before, as it focuses whole-heartedly on the very best that motorsport has had to offer over the past 125 years. We’ll be looking forward to embracing the relentless search for the ‘The Winning Formula’ in July.
The Festival of Speed takes place from Thursday 10th-Sunday 13th July 2025. Tickets are on sale now, and you can save by completing your order before the early bird window closes.
