Thursday timetable at the 2024 Festival of Speed

Thursday morning will begin once again with the Duke of Richmond’s traditional opening moment on the Hill at 09:00. Then the first batch of cars will be at the Startline at 09:40 for the first celebration of this year’s Festival of Speed theme: Horseless to Hybrid – Revolutions in Power, which will see cars spanning 1890-1960 take to the Hill.

The cars in First Glance presented by heycar and the supercar batch will be in action for the first time at 10:30 and 11:10 respectively before the Red Arrows arrive at 11:45. The first of our celebrations kick off at 12:55 as we shine the spotlight on Joest Racing, Niki Lauda and Mercedes-Benz, a batch supplemented with the legends in the Drift class.

Attention turns away from the Hill at 14:00 for the MG moment in front of Goodwood House before the first F1 action of the weekend kicks off at 14:20 together with the riders of the Isle of Man TT bikes.

The second half of our theme celebration closes the Hill action on Thursday, as cars from 1970-2024 depart from the Startline at 17:20.

Friday timetable at the 2024 Festival of Speed

They return on Friday morning as both halves of the theme batch kick off the second day of Hill running at 08:30 before the sound of F1 engines provides the perfect wake-up call at 10:05. First Glance and road bikes head out for their first runs of the day at 10:55 with the celebrations kicking off at 11:35. The Red Arrows return for their second and final display of the event at 11:45 ahead of the supercar run at 12:25.

Friday’s MG moment takes place at 13:05 before the first Timed Shootout action of the weekend gets underway with the drivers’ only practice runs at 14:45. We’ll turn our attention to the House again for the Richard Petty Balcony Moment which we’re sure is going to draw an impressive crowd beneath the Central Feature.

Hill action resumes at 15:30 with more theme celebrations, First Glance and supercars before the day ends with Drift cars, and celebrations of Joest Racing, Niki Lauda and Mercedes-Benz.

Saturday timetable at the 2024 Festival of Speed

Once again on Saturday, we begin the day as we ended on Friday as we welcome back the celebration batch to kick off the Hill action at 08:30. The new cars of First Glance run for the first time on Saturday morning at 10:05 before the supercar run at 10:45 and the day’s first F1 action at 11:40 together with the Isle of Man TT and dirt bikes.

Sticking with the TT theme, Saturday’s balcony moment will celebrate the remarkable achievements of the road race’s most successful rider: Michael Dunlop who took his 29^th victory on the Isle of Man in 2024, at 12:20.

Qualifying for the Timed Shootout begins at 14:50 before another special moment to remember Gil de Ferran, who died in December 2023, in the Ballroom Assembly Area. Final runs for First Glance, supercars and the cars of the main theme celebration from 1890-1960 will close the day.

Sunday timetable at the 2024 Festival of Speed

Things get back underway for one more day of action with main theme cars from 1970-2024 opening the Hill at 08:30. Then we gear up for the headline moment of the weekend as no fewer than seven Red Bull F1 cars line up for what’s bound to be a memorable demonstration at 11:40 before returning tothe House for a star-studded balcony moment comprising Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and more at 11:55.

Action on the Hill will continue apace through the afternoon before the climax of the Timed Shootout gets underway at 15:00 when we will crown this year’s winner. Following that, we’ll all settle back down again with one more showcase for the celebration classes of Drift, Joest, Niki Lauda and Mercedes-Benz, with First Glance, supercars and the final run for the main theme cars from 1890-1960 closing the Hill schedule for the 2024 Festival of Speed.

Forest Rally Stage timetable at the 2024 Festival of Speed

Alongside the action on the Hill, the Forest Rally Stage will again be a hive of rallying brilliance across all four days of the Festival of Speed. Although the exact run times are a little less structured than those on the Hill, the rallying action will begin at 11:30 on Thursday morning, with demo runs continuing at 13:00 and again from 13:30-15:30. Thursday’s shootout session takes place from 15:30-16:00 before another session of demo runs from 16:00-17:30.

The Forest Rally Stage will follow the same timetable for the remaining three days of the Festival of Speed but with an earlier start time of 09:00.

Bonhams|Cars at the 2024 Festival of Speed

The Bonhams|Cars Festival of Speed Sale returns once again in 2024, and auction viewing opens on Friday at 09:00 before the Automobilia Auction begins at 11:00. The Motor Cars Auctions starts at 14:00.

Goodwood Action Sports at the 2024 Festival of Speed

If you’re keen on extreme sports, then Goodwood Action Sports will be right up your street. Situated a short distance away from the Hill, the GAS arena will be home to many of the world’s biggest names in motorcross and BMX as they put on several breathtaking displays.

They’ll be in action over all four days of the Festival of Speed, with shows taking place on Thursday at 10:30, 12:30, 15:00 and 17:30. Then again on Friday at 10:30, 13:30, 15:30 and 17:30.

Saturday’s GAS sessions begin at 10:30, 13:30, 15:30 and 17:30, and Sunday’s at 10:30, 12:30, 14:30 and 16:30.
