With the 2021 season now done and dusted, we’re pleased to announce the dates for the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, Revival and Members’ Meeting.
The season will begin with the 79th Goodwood Members’ Meeting, taking place 9th-10th April 2022, before the Festival of Speed takes place 23rd-26th June and the season ends with the Goodwood Revival 16th-18th September.
The new dates see a reversion to a more traditional order for the events. The 78th Members’ Meeting was moved to October, shortly following the 2021 Revival, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but the 2022 event will move back to its traditional Spring slot. All three events will be running at full capacity, following a reduction for the 2021 Festival of Speed.
The 79th Members’ Meeting, exclusively open to members of the GRRC community, will open the season in April – a slightly later, but warmer, slot than had been common – and will be filled with the races, demonstrations and house activities that have come to define this unique event.
The Festival of Speed will move back to June for the first time in several years. The date closer to the summer solstice should see long hours of daylight and was the traditional home of the Festival from its inception until the mid-2010s.
The Festival will remain the destination for innovation, technology and future mobility, as well as hosting the traditional favourites from modern and historic motorsport including F1, drift, rally, bikes, touring cars and more. The amazing Future Lab will wow event-goers, as will the latest supercars in action on the Hill, and the world’s leading manufacturers launching their latest cars. Electric Avenue – the ultimate place for consumers to immerse themselves in the world of electric mobility – will be back after its debut in 2021.
The 2022 Revival retains its mid-September date, creating the perfect send off for a season of brilliant motorsport. The weekend will see the greatest historic motorsport in the world alongside fabulous vintage fashion and glamour. Popular new initiatives for 2021, including the Make Do & Mend corner and Revival Car Boot Sale, will make a welcome – and enhanced – return, as Goodwood continues to celebrate and showcase sustainability and second-hand lifestyle, encouraging attendees to embrace the event’s Revive and Thrive ethos.
Commenting on next year’s events, The Duke of Richmond said: “I am thrilled that our much-loved, sell-out motorsport events will be making a spectacular return in 2022. Thank you to everyone who attended and partnered with the Festival of Speed, Revival and Members’ Meeting this year.
“Your loyalty and support after a challenging 18 months made them more special than ever, and we can’t wait to see you back at Goodwood again next year. It really will be a season not to miss.”
