Vee-Power Sunday Breakfast Club cancelled

27th August 2020
Ben Miles

At Goodwood we were extremely excited to be finally welcoming you to a motoring event for the first time in 2020, for our Vee-Power Breakfast Club, which had been postponed from March due to bad weather. Sadly the event has now been hit by the second blow of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, and the social distancing restrictions that come with it. As a result, we have had to take the heart-breaking decision to cancel the event.

There is still one more Breakfast Club scheduled in 2020, for November, which we do hope will still take place, and will continue to monitor government advice in the run up. But the Vee-Power date sadly seems to be too early in this global crisis to go ahead. Our priority is always the safety and enjoyment of our fans and customers and, as we cannot guarantee both at the moment, we simply cannot go ahead.

While this is a great shame for all involved, especially the hard working team that puts on each event, we hope to return in 2021 in full strength, and that the once-in-a-lifetime online extravaganza that will be Goodwood SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard will help fill the gap left by a year without most Goodwood events.

If you haven’t heard about SpeedWeek, or want to know more, we’ve put together this handy explainer to fill in all the details on this one-off event.
