Classic Sunday, just like the Revival, is not an event dedicated only to four or more-wheeled machinery. There’s space carved out for the bike riders among our classic motoring fans, too.
The history of motorcycling goes back further than that of the motorcar itself and the variety of bikes we’ve seen here at Classic Sunday gives a good cross section of that history. We’ve got something for every decade going back as far as the 1920s, ranging all the way to the 1980s.
From a pair of simply spectacular Excelsiors from 1923 – one wearing the number plate OR1546 and the other OR1547 – to the crazy Honda CH125-E of 1984.
The former have the very skeletal steampunk look you expect of an early 1920s bike. The latter looks like the two-wheeled sibling of the Sinclair C5. Because 1980s.
Other ‘80s machines feature too including the lesser-known Italian marque, Moto Morini, as well as Hondas, Yamahas and Triumphs. There’s plenty of other earlier stuff too, including an AJS. Our favourite, though? Probably the 1978 BMW R65. There’s just no beating that stocky cafe racer look.
The variety, even for bike fans, is off the charts here at Breakfast Club Classic Sunday.
