Gallery: Stunning Swedes at ‘90s Sunday

07th November 2021
Ben Miles

I think it’s reasonably safe to say that the 1990s were a bit of a high point for the Swedish motoring world. Which Saab and Volvo were its only real exports, between them we reckon some of their finest work came during that decade.

At ‘90s Sunday Breakfast Club we had a veritable cornucopia of Swedish machines, the vast majority of them being Volvos, and most of them, as is good and proper, being estates.

So you’ll find a few 850s, V70s and even a 960 in this gallery, but there was more. A rather fiddled with Saab 93 Turbo made an appearance, alongside a nice Saab 900. And there were even a couple of old school boxy Volvo saloons. Which is your favourite Swedish car of all time?
