As part of our celebration of Goodwood 75, the entirety of our second Breakfast Club of the season is dedicated to 75 years of motoring in our corner of West Sussex. Inside that eclectic and wonderful display, is a particularly special grid, one featuring up to 75 cars, one from each year of the Goodwood Motor Circuit’s history.
There were a couple of cars that stood out as obvious stars – take a very valuable Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato or the stunning Alfa Rome Montreal – mixed in with cars that represent the machines that fans would have brought to the circuit meeting after meeting – like an Austin A30 or a Ford Fiesta. Between them they bring a demonstration of how broad the variety of cars that have spent time at Goodwood over the last seven-and-a-half decades have been.
Goodwood might have made its name with some of the more showcase, flash and expensive machines, the cars that race year after year at the Revival, but we think it’s the full breadth of machinery that’s the true history of Goodwood.
And that is why our Grid for this Breakfast Club was so varied, and will perhaps go down as our favourite one of all time.
