We’re incredibly excited to reveal our Goodwood Breakfast Club series for the 2023 season, a compact series of three public events through spring and summer featuring three of our most intriguing and exciting themes yet.

The season will kick off as is traditional with Supercar Sunday on 7th May. This opening event of the Breakfast Club season is all about the fastest, lairiest, most extravagant cars that the automotive world has ever managed to create. And this year we don’t just want your wild cars, we want to see the greatest superbikes in history join the fold.

Supercar Sunday has no more restrictions other than the fact that we at Goodwood must consider your car to be a supercar in the traditional sense, so no hyper saloons or super SUVs we’re afraid. But that is still a gloriously wide net, bringing cars from the Porsche 911 GT3 to the Lamborghini Miura, from the Audi R8 to the De Tomaso Pantera.

Following up on 4th June will be 75th Anniversary Sunday, where the Breakfast Club plays its part in our year-long celebration of “Goodwood 75”. This year marks 75 years since the Goodwood Motor Circuit was first opened, with Freddie March, the 9th Duke of Richmond driving his Bristol around the freshly-built track before racing kicked off. While top-level motorsport ceased at Goodwood in 1966, the circuit was never empty, becoming a key part of the testing landscape in the UK as well as a place for sprints and more. When it was revived ready for the 1998 Goodwood Revival, the circuit then became an active, year-round place for track days, testing and more.

To celebrate the role the circuit itself has played in the motoring landscape across three-quarters of a century we want to assemble an eclectic and brilliant collection of as many different cars and bikes from those eight different decades as possible. The centrepiece will be an extended grid, featuring one car from every year, but the rest of the show will attempt to showcase the incredible spread and depth of cars that have come out during the circuit’s life.

The final of our three announced Breakfast Clubs for 2023 will be Classic Car Sunday, on 30th July. Classic Car Sunday has become as big a part of the Breakfast Club year as our supercar event and with the ever-evolving theme allowing for more cars every year, it's only gone from strength to strength.

As usual, the criteria for applying for Classic Car Sunday are that your car must be eligible to run on the roads tax-free. This year that means it was built before 1st January 1982, and we would like to see as wide a variety of cars and bicycles from before 1982 as possible.

An additional Breakfast Club will take place on 25th June, exclusively for cars owned by Members of the GRRC and with attendance only for Members and Fellows of the Club. In addition, each Breakfast Club will, like last year, feature an exclusive area showcasing amazing vehicles owned by those in the GRRC.

If you have an eligible car you would like to display you can register your vehicle now. Acceptances for each event will begin a month before the event, so if you don’t hear back immediately don’t panic. As a one-off, to help select our extraordinary 75-car grid for 75th Anniversary Sunday we will begin that selection process in the coming weeks.

If you aren’t successful, or just wish to attend as a spectator remember that you will need to apply for a ticket.

Tickets remain totally free for all and more information can be found at this link.
