Six juniors made their way to Mannings Heath Golf Club on Sunday 24 September to face Cooden Beach and Coombe Wood Golf Club. The Golf At Goodwood youngsters had a combined handicap of less than 35 and continued to make Team Goodwood proud as they put on a great show.  Outstanding performances came from Xan Westerdijk and Max Herring who each posted gross scores of +5.

PGA Professional and Junior Sussex Development Coach, Craig Gardner, is delighted with the Junior success this season. “We are very proud of the juniors for their hard work they have put into becoming better golfers over the season. There commitment and enthusiasm for the game is fantastic to see, and it is a real pleasure to work with such a talented group of golfers. They are now beginning to reap the rewards, and everyone here at Golf At Goodwood wishes them the best of luck in their semi-final showdown.”

The National Semi-Final takes place on Saturday 7 October, at The Nevill Golf Club, and should the Golf At Goodwood Team get the result that they wish for, they will qualify for the televised National Final.

Good luck from all at Golf At Goodwood!

The team: Herring, Westerdijk, Alfie Simpson, Peter Davies, Olivia Ripiner and Maddie Ripiner
