The Duke of Richmond set up the GRRC Membership over twenty years ago for those who want to be at the heart of Goodwood's world leading motorsport events. Since then, demand to be part of the GRRC has become so strong that the waiting list to become a member was much bigger than the Club itself, and the waiting time was around 7 years - and growing all the time.
The Fellowship was created to give future full members a selection of benefits, to provide an affordable way for younger people to enjoy what the Club has to offer, and to offer those who aren't able to travel to Goodwood regularly a way of enjoying our event coverage and community feel.

Of course, but not straight away. When your membership comes up for renewal, you simply need to let the Club know you would like to relinquish your membership and purchase Fellowship instead. Please note that if at any time you would like to become a full member again, you will first need to activate your member-in-waiting status and then wait for a place to become available.

No. The Club does not run a referral scheme where existing members can put forward recommendations for new members. Entry into the club is by waiting list only. However from time to time we do offer a 'refer a friend' scheme for those who refer people who join the GRRC Fellowship - please contact the GRRC team on 01243 755057 for more details.

If you wish to cancel your membership please do so in writing to grrc@goodwood.com and we will ensure that your membership is not renewed for the following year. If resigning your membership part way through the year, your membership will continue until the membership year end date of 31 December and if you change your mind about cancelling before this date, you will not lose your place in the Club. If, however, you decide after this date you wish to re-join the GRRC, you first need to become a Fellow and Member in Waiting and then once you reach the top of the wait list we will invite you to join the GRRC again.

Launched in 2017, the Fellowship was established as a way to be part of the Goodwood Road Racing Club, whether you wish to become a full Member when a space becomes available, or simply want to enjoy a carefully selected number of GRRC benefits. Being a member of the GRRC is very sought-after and, in order to maintain the exclusivity of the full Club, capacity is capped. The GRRC Fellowship ensures the Club is accessible for more people to enjoy.

Since then, demand to be part of the GRRC has become so strong that the waiting list to become a member is now much bigger than the Club itself, and the waiting time is currently around 5 years. Additionally, we have recognised that membership is not always affordable for younger people, and can be difficult to get the most value from if you're not able to travel to Goodwood and enjoy the events regularly.

The Fellowship has been introduced to provide benefits for those waiting to become a member, as well as offering relevant benefits to the wider motorsport community that may not be able to travel to Goodwood and enjoy the membership benefits regularly. As such, those part of the Fellowship will enjoy a selected range of benefits, but there are some (such as paddock access at Goodwood Revival) that are solely for members.
Help us improve your experience
You must become part of the Fellowship first. Once you've purchased your Fellowship you will be sent an email reminder to activate your free-of-charge Member-in-Waiting status. As always, spaces in the GRRC membership are limited and we cannot say how long you will have to wait, but we hope you will appreciate these new benefits in the meantime.

When a space becomes available and you're invited to the Membership, the money you have paid for your time as part of the Fellowship will be deducted from the Joining Fee accordingly. If you wish, you can decide to decline the invitation for membership and remain in the Fellowship, but you will lose your place within the Member-in-Waiting line.
